Deotibba Base Camp
To keep pace with the tradition of organizing programmes in the Himachal Himalaya , we, a five members team went on a trek to Deotibba Base Camp in May 2009. Our team consisted of Barun (commonly addressed as Prabhu by us), Babon (who often feels hunger during trek) , Dr. Moloy (who loves to shut his patient's mouth with araldite) , Mr.Ashoke (who is a new comer in trekking arena and dreams for climbing Mt.Everest) and me ( who after every trek ,announces retirement from trekking but soon makes a come back).
With the blessings and good wishes of welwishers, we left Howrah Station on 21st May by Kalka Mail and reached Chandigarh on 23rd May in the morning.. We wasted no time to avail a car and reached Manali in the evening. There we met our guide Prem Singh and two other porters.
Next morning on 26th May , we started at 7 am. Track goes steadily up to Sherii. At about 3 pm we reached Sherii. It is a beautiful camping ground. It is so big that would give shame to the Eden Garden. Here the altitude is 3700 mt. We pitched our tent.
On the way we found a horse feeding her colt. This was eternally graceful to us.
On the way to Tenta :
While crossing the Sherii camping ground

Prabhu falling from heaven down to earth.....
And was eventually saved well.....
